Why is it necessary to have different diet according to different age groups?

    Body reqirements vary according to age,(ex.adolescents need more calcium and calories than a normal adult,) hence need to change diet accordingly.

    Although all of us need the same class of nutrients eg Proteins, carbohydrates & Fats; needs of our body differs as per requirements. Different age(s) require different quantities. Even i adults – manual labourer will require more calories than someone who has a desk job (or a house wife). Then requirements increase in pregnancy and lactation. Not to forget if one of the body organs is nor functioning well enough like kidney failure or liver cirrhosis – very careful diet planning is required.
