If he is in acute phase, i.e. vomiting – then oily foods will induce further vomits. Tips are
    1. Give things which are good for Liver
    – glucose water
    – fruits
    – home made juices
    – Sugarcane juice is avoided bcoz of hygiene concerns
    – Give boiled veg, dry chapatis; plain rice/ home made curd
    2. Avoid things that may be bad for Liver/ disease
    – oil/ ghee/ butter
    – pain killers

My son had jaundice. My doctor told me hygiene is more important. He told me once vomiting has stopped – give whatever (but home made and fresh) that your son can eat and retain. My son loved the doctor when doctors said “if he can eat a home made samosa and not vomit, let him have it”

    Hi! All
I will say something that all may not agree – my daughter was recovering from Jaundice but had not fully recovered yet (was still having yellow eyes). She was crying for chicken – and since her vomiting had stopped and she had good appetite – my doctor allowed grilled chicken and my daughter still recovered normally!
