Yes. sometimes garlic gives gastric irritation, indigestion and nausea. But it also helps to reduce infections, blood pressure , cholesterol, levels and cancers of the digestive tract.

Raw garlic could be harsh on the stomach mucosa but eating it cooked or sauted in a little ghee would reduce its pungency.Try having it twice a week then gradually increase and see how your stomach can tolerate it. Have curds and fruits(non-citrus) and milk to mitigate the irritation caused by the garlic.Reduce intake of other irritants like hot, spicy ,fried,& heavy foods.
