How do low-fat and low-carb diets supposed to work for diabetes? I am 42 yr old. Just diagnosed. Google says these diet work. I am not sure how?

    Low- fat, low -carbohydrate foods mean they give out low calories when metabolized in the body.Hence they do no not raise the blood sugar as much as high fat high carb diets.which means they are ideal for diabetics.Further this diet will prevent rise in body weight, which is so very mandatory for a diabetic.More the body fat, more the resistance to insulinand higher the blood glucose values.
