Oily(fried),fatty, hot & spicy, pungent, heavy sweets and rarely uncooked salads need to be avoided.Food needs to be chewed well. An ill fitting denture has to be corrected. If most of her teeth is missing she needs to make a new denture.Lying down or bending soon after food ingestion is to be avoided.Light small feeds to be eaten at frequent intervals. And if she is on any painkillers which wiil precipitate acidity she needs to reduce that.

The food should avoid in Acid Reflux Problem is spicy & oily food, excessive amount of Vitamin C rich foods (tomatoes and oranges because these are also acidic foods), chocolate, coffee, the vegetables are like cabbage, onions, cauliflower, spinach, and broccoli, & milk and milk products before bed time

Tips for Her to Avoid acid reflux problem:
    – Tell her to do not lie on the bed immediately after eating.
    – Chew food slowly.
    – She should try to maintain an upright position for 45 minutes after eating.
    – Tell her to don’t eat too much food at the same time. Keep stomach slightly empty.
