Asked by: 481 views Adults, Misc

Do we lose more weight if we sleep more? I know it sounds stupid but someone told me.

Research is still on regarding this. Sleep deprivation seems to increase a hormone called ghrelin which increase appetite and decreases a hormone called leptin which prevents satiety to be attained. Since both hormones one directly and the other indirectly affects food intake you tend to puton weight. So good sleep indirectly ensures no weight gain
