Anatomically female urinary tract is prone to infection because of it’s short urethra. Women try to hold their urine for longer hours than men hence chances of contracting infection is more.Further women tend to drink less water so as to reduce their urination frequency.Again more chances of infection. Drinking liberal amounts of water say 2-3 litres of water, frequent urination and good hygiene of private parts, usage of the water spray to wash the private part from front backwards and not back to front and urination after intercourse are some of the precautions to be taken.
